Story

தூசி பாதங்கள் (Thoosi Paathangal) — "Soles of Dust". A Tamil folk anthem for the therukoothu troupes: the village street-theatre players who paint a new face on every dawn, tie the salangai to their ankles, and dance the dust up off the road.

Parai and thavil carry it. A bamboo flute answers. The lyric calls the dancers விண்மீன் கோலங்கள் — star-patterns that came down out of the sky and landed in the soil — and it says every law of fate is contained inside the dance.
